Hi,I did the following:
What is the difference in electric pet clippers and human hair clippers?I bought some Conair hair clippers and was trying to clip my cat's fur, but it didn't seem to be cutting well and took forever to do. Is there a difference between those and pet clippers? If so, does anyone have any recommendation as to which pet clippers would be the most efficient and inexpensive?

They are similar but the pet clippers are smaller and have finer blades. I bought a pair at Pet Smart that I use on my dog, you have to adjust them regularly and keep them oiled or they too can be a pain.

Dog clippers are heavy duty clippers and stay cooler longer.Human clippers aren't strong as the dog clippers and usually won't cut a dogs coat.

Dog fur is different than human hair. You need a sharper blade to cut dog hair than you would for human hair. Dog clippers are designed to meet that challenge.

I think Oster make some of the best clippers for cats, Andis is also good. They might be a little pricey, but I think its worth it. You will have them for a long time. Do a little research though, because there are different blades for different things.

You might just be better off going to a groomer!
