The best oil to use is chilli oil. It rubs nicely into the skin and also gives a warm feeling throughout the body.

lavender, except in pregnancy.Lavender helps to relax the muscles.For sore muscles,peppermint oil is great.

do not use chilli oil it will burn like hell if it gets in a cut or eyes or nose ect.....
a warming oil is always best because it helps to relax the muscles
they might be easier to find and less expensive to order online depending on how remote your location is

If the massage is for painful neck,muscles,joints,low back OIL OF WINTERGREEN is about the best.If the massage is for partially or otherwise paralysed parts (scalp including)olive oil is very good.If the massage is for only comfort any aromated oil is to be chosen.

A lot of these people seem to be talking about essential oils. Is that what you wanted or are you talking about carrier oils?
Olive oil, sunflower oil, jojoba oil, almond oil. Or you can get massage gel from massage warehouse.com.
