Heart rate monitors and body fat scales? EFFECTIVE?Does anyone use those heart rate monitor watches while working out? what are the advantages? Recommended?
Also, i just brought a scale that also measures body fat %... do you think its accurate? How does it calculate it?

Iffy on the scale. One of the most accurate ways to test for BF is the pinch test...usually gyms offer it, maybe even your doc. I used a handheld bf calculator is was way off - it used my age, weight to determine but it realy came down to BMI which I loath.
I don't use heart rate monitors...that's just gimmick - you'll know if you're truly pushing your body and it depends on the way you train. Long distance runners train and tend to have slower rates...and if you stick them on a bike and try to get their heart rate up, they'll never reach the target rate.
