I recommend physical exercise of any type that gets the mind focused , the body moving, and your breathing deep, but not ragged. All the things that were mentioned by Rob S are true. The exercises that help me with stress are circuit weight training using light to moderate weights, running, elliptical machine, stair stepper, and walking.

The best stress reduction exercises are the ones you enjoy! You have to find something you like to do that takes your mind off you troubles, whether it is a hobby, taking a walk, reading, meditation or laughing.
