Hi,I did the following:
What is the best kind of diaper cream to get that is not too pricey?I'm 37 weeks and trying to get everything for the baby:) Are the diaper creams pretty much all the same or are some better than others?

They are pretty much all the same, unless you are looking to go natural. I find Penaten really thick but its really good too! We just use A walmart brand-parents choice and works great

Butt Paste is pretty good but we've also used Target's brand and it's worked fine too.

A&D works great for us the hospital gave us a tube and I really liked it and it works great

I have found the best diaper ointment to be walmarts brand, equate A & D.
My son didn't get any diaper rashes until he started teething badly with his canine teeth..he was having diarrhea..and that ointment was the only thing that worked. Cleared it up by the end of the day. Congrats!

I think it all depends on the baby really. For my daughter I prefer A&D nothing else seems to work on her. But other moms swear by other diaper creams.

Do you mean diaper rash cream? As long as you change the baby when s/he's wet/soiled, dry them off completely after a bath, and don't let moisture & heat mingle too long, the baby shouldn't be getting any diaper rashes. But at the store, it only costs a few bucks. It's not expensive.

the best diaper cream isnt diaper cream at all is this stuff called bag balm its in a green can and is amazing stuff my son has never once gotten a diaper rash its about 6$ a can but lasts forever

Butt Paste is the best, it works quickly and doesn't smell like medicine. My doctor recommended it even :)

Some work better than others! I don't like anything with zinc oxide, it burns when they have a bad rash, i learned that while working at the daycare. I have always used Aquaphor Baby (it's clear like vasoline) and i love it! It starts working within hours! It can also be used on dry/chapped skin. I always reccomend this to other moms.
