Hi,I did the following:
What are some good pain relievers for an abscessed tooth?My mom is has an abscessed tooth and I want to help relieve the pain. Does anyone know any good pain relievers?

Advil (ibuprofen) is your best bet. But don't be surprised if you get no relief. When teeth are "hot" with an infection, you can take a pharmacy worth of medication without pain relief.
She needs to get the tooth fixed: root canal or extraction. Once she has that done the pain medication will help much more effectively.
Try having her sleep with her head elevated. Don't put heat on the area: it will draw the infection out.
My best advice? Call the Dr. tomorrow~

Your mom needs antibiotics. The only painkillers she can ...legally....get are over the counters. Ibuprofen,tylenol etc..etc..
