Hi,I did the following:
Natural Allergy treatment what has worked for you?It seems I am getting more and more seasonal allergies every year. My symptoms are getting to the point where no matter where I am, indoors or outdoors, I am getting dry coughing hacking attacks. Avoidance of my allergies is not an option anymore. My house is cleaned regularly, and we have air conditioning, so I have done what I can environmentally. I am trying also the netti pot which is not doing anything.
I have heard of allergy shots or taking raw honey, and I would like to know of any natural remedies or permanent solutions that anyone has tried.

I'm the same way. I also get really bad allergy eye, like i have now. My whole left eye is swollen to the point where I can't see!
Natural Allergy treatment is hard. I'd consider going somewhere and get over the counter medicine. You can get most for 3-6 Dollars. Don't get brand names. Get ones that are similar to brand names. (It should say on the box what allergy treatment it's similar too.)

I have heard of getting allergy shots once a week for 3 to 5 years for treatment. My allergist tells me there is a 50% chance of 'curing' the allergies for good....If and when my allergies become as bad as yours, I am going to do it for sure!
Right now, I take a non drowsy allergy med (24 hr) twice a day, the second one about 10 hrs after the first. It seems to keep the sneezing and itchy skin to a minimum. The dry throat and red eyes are under control with this too, for me anyway. I use a netti pot once a week with 1⁄2 L (1 pint) of water, 5 mls (1 tsp) of salt and optionally another 5 mls of baking soda for an isotonic solution. I have to say that this has brought much relief compared to not using it.
Once in awhile I'll use a nasal spray to get rid of the leftover sniffles I sometimes get. I never use that more than once a day and only if absolutely necessary as I don't want to damage my nasal cavity with overuse.

I did the allergy shots. They are natural; they are a tiny extract of the pollen to which you are allergic. Over several years they slowly build up the dosage until it is as strong as what you encounter naturally. I got three shots once per week for five years then three shots every other week for a couple of years, and finally, three shots once per month for a couple of years. It has been nine years since I discontinued the shots and most of my allergies are still gone.
I cannot take raw honey, since I am allergic to honey.

Cut up a lemon into several tiny slices, and place the pieces into a small bowl. Dump honey in the bowl until you've drowned and completely covered the lemon slices. Place a sheet of plastic wrap over the bowl, and refrigerate it (not freeze) overnight.
In the morning, take one of the slices and eat it, peel and all. Place the rest of the honey-soaked lemon slices back in the fridge, and eat one the next morning. Repeat.

Here is an article I found with some pretty good info, and with some links to natural products.
Good luck!
