Hi,I did the following:
How many boxes of baby wipes and packs of diapers do you have to buy per month?Also, are you able to get buy with the cheap diapers and wipes or does your baby require the pricier stuff to avoid things like accidents, irritation, etc?

I buy 2 packs of Luv's a month, they have 52 diapers. And probably 2 bags of wipes, they have about 240 in each pack.

My daughter goes through about 3-4 of the jumbo packs of diapers. I believe there are like 60 in a pack. As for the wipes...we don't go through a lot actually! I bought to huge boxes when I was pregnant and have hardly gone through half of the first one! My daughter is 7 months old, but has only been home for 4 months. But still, we haven't used a lot of wipes.
We buy White Cloud diapers which is a cheaper brand, but not the cheapest. We shop at walmart. We also use the Walmart brand wipes. They don't seem to bother her.

My son can use any kind of diapers. If I've got a lot of money then I buy Huggies and if I don't I'll buy luvs or white cloud... he doesn't leak in any of them. I change my sons diaper 8-10 times per 24 hours. So, at the most I need about 300 diapers a month. I use wipes pretty sparingly, I use huggies thick-n-clean and they are 2.24 a box.. generic brand diapers are ok but I refuse to use any type of wipes besides Huggies. They are thicker and don't leave behind any pieces, and they have enough soap and they don't dry out as easily.

It depends on what size box you get and what size diaper your baby is wearing, among other things....so I really couldn't say how many in a month. I use the wipes for everything ( wiping off hands, toys, etc.) so I go through a lot of wipes! The cheap diapers were a disaster! Lots of accidents, not worth it. Try something down the middle, it doesn't have to be super expensive, but it does have to work. When my daughter was a newborn I went for the spendy wipes because her skin was still so sensitive, but as she has gotten older I've switched brands several times and it hasn't caused any problems.

None. Cloth diapers are cool like that. I really can't use disposables because of the rash issue, but they're cheap, convenient and cute too!
Mama2znc, I did not td you, but I wonder why a person would make disposable wipes while using cloth diapers? I just use my diaper scraps (I sew my own) as wipes and I wet them with water. That way I don't have to separate the wipes from the diapers. I hate it when I accidentally wash a disposable wipe!

4 packs of Parents Choice diapers
1 pack of Pamper Cruisers (for overnight use)
I usually buy a box of Parents Choice wipes. Each box contains 6 packs of wipes (88 wipes per package). It lasts for the whole month.
I find that Parents Choice diapers are good for the daytime, but don't hold up well as overnight diapers. So I buy Pamper Cruisers for overnights (1 size larger than my daughter's usually diaper size).

The best thing I found for my babies was Fuzzi Bunz cloth diapers. Sounds like a pain, but cloth are easy and actually cost less (much much less) over the diaper life of the child. That is, from birth to potty training, cloth diapers can save you literally thousands of dollars.
Also you can make your own wipes, which are gentler to baby and a fraction of the cost.
Take 2 cups water, 2 tablespoons baby lotion or baby oil (your choice), and 2 tablespoons baby wash and boil them on the stovetop. When it reaches boiling, remove from heat.
Take a roll of paper towels (I found the ones that worked best were Viva Select-a -size) and cut them in half with a sharp knife. Remove the cardboard insert.
Place one half of the paper towel roll in the solution. Let it sit about 10 minutes, then flip it over and let it sit again until all the liquid is absorbed.
Place it in a gallon ziploc and take your wipes from the center.
(Since these don't have chemicals for preservation, if you don't use them quickly, these can mold. I took half of the wet wipes and put them in the fridge. When the first half was gone, I'd take the other half out of the fridge.)
Takes about 30 min to make these, for a fraction of the cost of commerical! My kids never got rashes when I used homemade wipes and cloth diapers, but always got them in disposable diapers or commercial wipes.

I buy the big boxes of Huggies Natural Care wipes at Sam's. They are around $ 14 or $ 15 and they last about 2 1/2 to 3 months. I think it's the same as 9 regular boxes of wipes. I use them for clean ups and not just diaper changes. Of all the wipes I tried from my baby shower gifts these were the ones I like the best and the price isn't bad at Sam's. As for diapers we use cloth in the day so I spend extra for Huggies Supreme Gentle Care overnight. One of the $ 10 30 diaper packages will last me all month. I haven't found overnight diapers in my daughters size and she sleeps up to 12 hours so I need a good quality diaper overnight so she doesn't leak or get diaper rash.

Too many...I wish people would start using cloth again. I used them on my son...They even have these liners now that you put in the diapers so you just lift it out and flush any "chunks" and wash the nice soft cotton in the washer. So much cheaper, and you'll have extra $ $ $ for other things. And, your baby is cotton soft instead of crinkly plastic.

I buy my diapers at BJ's wholesale club and I use LUVS. I have 2 in diapers ( a 16 month old and a 5 month old). I use about 1 huge box ( like 220 diapers per box) for each child in a month. I only buy Huggies thick wipes, they cost more but I seem to use less of them since they are bigger, I use about 1 big bag of these a month.
