how to make a stun gun out of household supplies?i am 38 years old and want to make a powerfull stun gun. anyone know how to make it with common household supplies?

Cut the cord from a lamp or similar device, leaving the plug
on the end. Carefully bare the insulation on the end of the
two wires. Poke the bare wire ends of the two wires in your
two ears and plug in the other (plug end) into the wall
socket. This system will not only stun you, it will probably
kill you. DON'T DO IT !!!!!!!!!! DANGER!!!! DANGER!!!!!!

PS Why on earth do you want to make a stun gun?

Stun guns work on very high voltage, very low amperage. It only take part of an amp to kill you so I would NOT use household current or anthing else in the wall

Real stun guns use just a 9 volt battery

What you would need are

1 9 volt battery
1 coil of wire from the battery with high resistance to minimize the current
1 coil of wire for a transformer secondary, it shoud have 20,000 times the loops of the other coil, making a 190,000 volt transformer

You could substitue a car distributor (the part that his hooked up to the spark plugs) it puts out some very high voltage, low amp signals

1 momentary switch, this could be a bent paperclip used like a leaf spring covered in electrical tape except for to points of contact
two metal tips to strike the arc across
some hookup wire

You are pretty much just building a 20,000/1 transformer and keeping the secondary leads unconnected, when you connect the primaries there is enough voltage to "jump" across the two leads...big spark

You would need to limit the current, not sure how that works, or you would kill your battery, probably put a big resistor in the primary coil lead

BTW....if you build this thing you are STUPID and crazy and I'd never reccomend it. You can buy a stun gun for like $ 30, why would you build one and take a chance of killing the person or yourself....

just use an old tv flyback and a 9 or 12 volt battery, or you can also use a car ignition coil, what you are really looking for is a hole lots of voltage.
