Hi,I did the following:
How do I wash ink off of my newborn baby?I was trying to do a print of my baby's hand - I didn't have a kit- just used a regular ink pad - it said it was non-toxic - but now I'm worried it's dangerous - I just did one hand. I'm trying to wash it off - tried baby wash & baby oil - kinda working - any ideas? Also- does anyone think the ink is dangerous for him?

I wouldn't worry about it being harmful if it is non-toxic. You may have to wait for it to come off gradually, though. Some inks will stain the skin and stay there until the skin renews itself. The good news is that babies' skin cells get replaced by new cells pretty quick since they are growing so fast.

Baby wipes work for almost everything. I've even gotten permanent marker off skin with baby wipes. If it doesn't work, try giving your baby a long relaxing bath to soak the ink off. Good luck and congratulations on your precious little one.

We did the same thing with my DS. Non-toxic ink pads are just that, not toxic. We used baby wipes on his hands and feet immediately after making the prints and almost all the ink came off! If it has been on a little while, then I would suggest taking a long bath and using a terrycloth washcloth to gently scrub the ink off (think mild exfoliation). The ink should come off fairly quickly under those conditions. Just remember that your precious little one will soon be in school writing on himself and others with ink that is far worse than this! Your baby will be fine!

We had trouble getting the ink off our son too - didn't try baby wipes though. Honestly, we ended up with ink all over his clothes, our clothes and his bedding by the end of the week!

What do you think? Answer below!
